Nick Mills is an engineer/producer/composer/mixer from London.
His music journey began in 2005 with the band ‘Goldhawks’ that would later go on to sign a deal and work with the likes of Gil Norton and Flood. It was here that Nick’s obsession with studios and production grew.
After the band parted ways, Nick started his studio career as a runner at Metropolis Studios and worked his way through the studio ranks to engineer for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Elton John, Burna Boy and many more. It was here Nick sharpened his skills and absorbed the experience of a multitude of writers, producers and engineers that came through the doors at Metropolis.
After leaving Metropolis and pursuing a freelance career, Nick has become long term collaborator with artist Loyle Carner as an engineer, writer and producer. Having worked across three albums together, Nick has most recently finished work on Loyle’s fourth album ‘hopefully!’.
In addition to working with artists, Nick has honed his skills composing library music for many years. Nick’s has also had compositions commissioned for brands including Timbaland, Fifa, Cupra and most recently an upcoming film called ‘The Public.’ Nick is able to conceive creative sonic direction to brief or to visuals and utilise his skills across the sync landscape.
With a wealth of experience in engineering, composing, producing and mixing, Nick continues to work with brands and artists across all genres to facilitate their vision from conception to execution.
